Schooloscope: The 4ip-funded project to make Ofsted tables accessible | Media | guardian.co.uk

Funded by Channel 4's technology investment fund 4ip late last year, the beta version of Schooloscope initially includes Ofsted results for 20,000 primary and secondary schools in England, though more will be added in time along with new features.

"Data belongs to the people - particularly that held by the public sector - and getting hold of it should not involve a complex routine of jumping through a series of ever decreasing hoops," he said.

In addition to the Top 40, the newspaper includes some local data visualisations for London and New York based on listening in those cities.
